 | | 17th Avenue All-Stars The 17th Avenue Allstars are Colorado's premier a cappella performance; a group of passionate musicians celebrating the 31st year of the Allstars' legacy. With a fresh perspective and new talent, the Allstars bring their multifaceted, musically rich, and endlessly entertaining show to venues in Colorado and nationwide - in addition to private, corporate, and family-friendly events.
The Allstars show is led by the incredible vocal stylings of Claudia McCarthy, Tristan Anderson, Alissa Kotranza, and Lily Timmons, driven by our rhythm section - Grant Hamilton and vocal percussionist Paul Lannon, and features choreography and a wide variety of songs and medleys.

 | | 5280 A Cappella 5280 A Cappella, named one of the Top Vocal Groups in Colorado are guaranteed to bring a burst of infectious energy to the stage. Their unique repertoire entertains audiences of all ages. They have graced large festivals to small ones. They have been featured on local TV stations throughout Colorado and can be seen performing for some great causes.

Counterpoint Quartet Counterpoint is a quartet comprised of women who met while they went to Colorado School of Mines. This award-winning women s barbershop quartet strives for excellence in both their sound and performance. Counterpoint loves to bring hilarious, family-friendly fun to every stage and look forward to bringing that energy to Harmony Sweeps!

Grandview Jazz Choir The Grandview Jazz Choir is the current CHSAA State Champions of Vocal Jazz. They were also selected to perform at the Colorado Music Educators Association Conference in January of 2026. This choir has several students selected for the All State Jazz and All State Choirs.

 | | Miner Dissonance Miner Dissonance is Colorado School of Mines' mixed voice A Cappella group, with a focus on contemporary A Cappella. We formed in 2012, and have been going strong since then. Our goal is to allow students to keep singing throughout college, and to find community through choir! We hope to keep engineering harmonies together for years to come.

The Storytellers The Storytellers are a vocal quintet that fuses the power of song and narrative to build community wherever they go. They sing all over Colorado, partnering with local schools, businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations to create spaces for people to connect to themselves and each other through the arts.

Bianca Herbert
For over 30 years, Bianca Herbert has performed, adjudicated, and served as a clinician at leading music festivals across the U.S. and Canada. She is the former owner and co-producer of the acclaimed a cappella group Groove Society, which performed at major international jazz festivals and shared stages with artists including Styx, Bonnie Raitt, Paquito D’Rivera, Patty Austin, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Bobby McFerrin.
Bianca currently owns, produces, and performs in four ensembles: Bianca and the Flyboys (9-piece swing band), Atomic Fusion Initiative (13-piece funk/pop/rock group), Era Nova (13-piece decades band), and The Victory Three (vocal trio). Highlights include opening for the Glenn Miller Orchestra in Dallas, performing at the EAA International Airshow for 170,000+ attendees, and the 85th Pearl Harbor Commemoration in Hawaii.
A Colorado native, Bianca studied at the University of Northern Colorado and now runs Colorado Music Lessons, where she teaches strings and piano. |
Darren Drown
Darin Drown taught high school vocal music for 32 years in Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado, and retired from Grandview High School in the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, CO in 2024. The choirs from his high school performed several times at the Colorado Music Educator's convention over the years, and consistently received Superior ratings at state and regional festivals. He was twice named “Teacher of the Year” in two different schools over his career, and School District Teacher of the year one time.
Darin directed the Sound of the Rockies chorus for 15 years in the Barbershop Harmony Society, and the chorus received international medals 7 times under his direction, reaching as high as 3rd place, and led the Velvet Hills Chorus in Colorado Springs, CO in the Sweet Adelines Inc. to two international contests. Darin coaches barbershop quartets and choruses all over the world. He also sings baritone in the BHS 2010 International Champion quartet, Storm Front. He is a certified EFP in Estill Voice Proficiency.

Mary Ann Kehler
Mary Ann Kehler is best known for her work as a voice teacher and performance coach; she is also a theatre director, audition coach, and best-selling author. Mary Ann is skilled at voice rehabilitation and is a “go-to” for keeping professional voices healthy. Her clients include musical theatre professionals; pop recording artists; lead singers for rock, country, bluegrass, blues, and metal bands; club musicians; singer/songwriters; classical choral soloists; worship leaders; voice teachers, and high school students auditioning for college musical theatre, acting, and singer/songwriter programs. Mary Ann served seven years (2018-2024) as President of International Voice Teachers of Mix and is an IVTOM Mentor Teacher. She happily travels the world, training voice teachers and assisting singers, presenting in voice conferences and theatre education events. Mary Ann calls Denver, Colorado, USA home and is equally enthralled by the Rocky Mountains and the New York Theatre District. |

Performing?
We are always seeking groups who would like to participate
in our events.
Groups of any style are welcome, but you must have between
3 and 12 members. We have a rule book which explains many of the
details of the event, which you can see by clicking here. All groups must audition in
order to compete. Generally this is done by sending a current tape
and photo, although live auditions are sometimes arranged. The
purpose of the audition is to make sure the group is appropriate for
the Festival and to help the Director determine the performance
order. If a group has competed previously, the audition process may
be waived.

Tyler Wigginton (Rocky Mountain)
Tyler Wigginton is a nonprofit fundraising professional, choral leader, and composer based in Denver, Colorado. He serves as a Philanthropy Officer with the Barbershop Harmony Society and is the Artistic/Musical Director of the fifth place medalist chorus Sound of the Rockies, while also singing bass in the internationally competitive quartet Sunday Night Social. A certified BHS Musicality Judge and sought-after coach for choruses and quartets, Tyler has taught at Harmony University, BinG! Harmony College, Rocky Mountain Harmony College, and multiple leadership summits. He holds a B.A. in Musical Composition from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Musical Composition at Berklee College of Music. When not musicking he enjoys rock climbing, reading, tabletop games, and spending time with his family.
