1991 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival

The Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival is the premier American showcase for vocal harmony music. The annual national competition draws from hundreds of vocal groups from around the country with regional competitions in eight cities. The winning group from each festival is flown to perform in front of celebrity judges and a sold out house of enthusiastic a cappella fans at the National Finals.

17th Avenue All-Stars

The 17th Avenue Allstars are celebrating 20 years as one of Denver, Colorado's top musical acts singing contemporary a cappella. The Allstars have performed across the United States and opened for National Acts such as: BB King, The Temptations, Mel Torme, and Robert Cray. Named the official anthems singers of the Denver Broncos they've experienced a wide range of a cappella performance opportunities including shows for US Presidents and Governers, corporate events and product launches, outdoor festivals and concerts and large charitable fundraisers. From the Doo-Wop favorites from the 50's to Contemporary A Cappella; straight ahead rock tunes or a cappella vocal jazz, the 17th Avenue Allstars will put on a show for any audience!

The Diners

Formed 2 ½ years ago by placing a classified ad in a local newspaper, The Diners have carved a niche for themselves in the Denver music scene. Featuring five strong voices, they perform everything from classic rock and original music to some of the best Doo-Wop of the past 30 years. Besides their busy stage schedule, they have also written and recorded jingles for restaurants and radio stations, and have been featured numerous times on Denver television stations. The Diners regularly perform at a variety of local nightclubs as well as for public and private events.

Interested in Performing?

We are always seeking groups who would like to participate in our events.

Groups of any style are welcome, but you must have between 3 and 12 members. We have a rule book which explains many of the details of the event, which you can see by clicking here. All groups must audition in order to compete. Generally this is done by sending a current tape and photo, although live auditions are sometimes arranged. The purpose of the audition is to make sure the group is appropriate for the Festival and to help the Director determine the performance order. If a group has competed previously, the audition process may be waived.

Tyler Wigginton (Rocky Mountain) Tyler Wigginton is a nonprofit fundraising professional, choral leader, and composer based in Denver, Colorado. He serves as a Philanthropy Officer with the Barbershop Harmony Society and is the Artistic/Musical Director of the fifth place medalist chorus Sound of the Rockies, while also singing bass in the internationally competitive quartet Sunday Night Social. A certified BHS Musicality Judge and sought-after coach for choruses and quartets, Tyler has taught at Harmony University, BinG! Harmony College, Rocky Mountain Harmony College, and multiple leadership summits. He holds a B.A. in Musical Composition from Metropolitan State University of Denver and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Musical Composition at Berklee College of Music. When not musicking he enjoys rock climbing, reading, tabletop games, and spending time with his family.
