Katherine Hoye (Soprano)

Katharine Hoye is a studio singer and performer based in Los Angeles. She is a proud alumna of both Berklee College of Music and UCLA, as well as a songwriter and arranger. Katharine records for film, TV, commercials, albums, publishing demos, backing tracks, sound-alikes, and anything and everything in between. A former Verve recording artist, Katharine sings in a variety of styles, including pop, jazz, R&B, musical theater, gospel, choral/classical, and has most recently expanded her skill set to include voiceover.

Both in the studio and on the stage, Katharine has worked with many notable composers and arrangers, including Gordon Goodwin, Gabriel Mann, Andrew Dawson, Dominic Lewis, Deke Sharon, Stuart Price, Tim Davis, Christopher Young, Ben Bram, and Christopher Given Harrison. She has recorded vocals for Disney, Mattell, Universal, Royal Caribbean, Toshiba, Hal Leonard Publishing, and many more. You can check out some more of her recent work here.

Well-known in the a cappella world, Katharine is also a member of the award-winning vocals + electronics band ARORA (formerly known as Verve recording artists, Sonos). Katharine has been a member and writer/arranger with the band since 2008, and in 2009 they released their debut album, SonoSings, on Verve Forecast (UMG). Since then ARORA has toured extensively in the US and Europe, from colleges and clubs to performing arts halls and festivals (as well as performing, they also lead masterclasses, clinics, and adjudicate at vocal festivals). In 2013 ARORA released their highly anticipated album of original vocal music, Bioluminescence, which has since received wide acclaim from across the vocal music community. Appearances with ARORA include NBCs The Sing Off, live sessions on NPR's Weekend Edition, KCRW, Sirius/XM Radio, BBC Americana, and PRI's Studio 360, as well as performances at SXSW, Sundance Film Festival, TED TALKS, X Games, ASCAP Film & TV Awards, and UCLA Live. They have sung backing vocals for Sara Bareilles, Chrissie Hynde, and The Pet Shop Boys (Katharine appears on two of the band's albums, 2012s Elysium and 2013s Electric).
