1994 Boston Regional Winners:

Vox One

Vox One's sound is instantly recognizable-- richly complex arrangements combine jazz and other musical styles to shape the cutting edge of 90's a cappella music. The group traces its roots to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Performance experiences include opening for The Persuasions, The Woody Herman Orchestra, The Count Basie Orchestra, Jerry Bergonzi, and Rebecca Paris. Vox One was named "Best A Cappella Group, Jazz" in Boston Magazine in the 1993 Best of Boston issue and received "Best Album" and "Best Song" awards from the 1994 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. Their self-titled CD was released in December 1993 on the Melville Park label.
